The New Priestess is Emerging

The New Priestess is Emerging.  She is a space-keeper.  She holds the nest of loving energy, inside of which her colleagues and friends may transform like a chick bursting from an egg.  She holds the container – the perfect balance of masculine protection and guidance and feminine nurturing and comfort.

The New Priestess energy is different than the old.  She does not claim full dominion over access to a supremely Feminine deity.  She is not the only way in.  She does not exist in contrast to a masculine Priest.  She has a new way of embracing the male and female as one, even as she utilizes each energy separately, as they are each beautiful reflections of the whole.

There was a time when the Goddess reigned supreme.  The only appropriate representative of the divine, and leader of the spiritual community, was a woman.  This woman, the priestess, represented the purity, fertility, and divine flow of the goddess.  This was a time when men were seen as consorts or helpers of the divine feminine.  The gods were seen in this light, as were men of the human race.  They were secondary.  They were less necessary.

And then there came a time when the God reigned supreme.  The only appropriate representative of the divine, and the leader of the spiritual community, was a man.  This man, the priest, represented the strength, action, and guardianship of the god.  This was a time when women were seen as helpers and supports of the divine masculine, and of their husbands.  The goddess took a backseat to the god, and in many traditions, she was completely denied.   Compared to men, women were secondary.  They were less necessary.  This age is only now ending.

We as a people have explored each sexual energy in its divine form for eons.  We have played out the drama of duality.  And now, we are ready for the merging and flowing of balance and unity.  This is the New Age.  It is already here.  Our challenge is at hand, to take what we have learned from each of the older ages, and weave them together to serve harmony and peace.

The new energies are coming into the Earth right now.  The last big hoopla of the masculine age is burning away in the current fireworks show.  We are in the years of transformation, and they are showing us the last hoo-ray of war, conflict, and hypocrisy of the current unbalanced masculine-based culture.  The system is being revealed in its ridiculous dependence on competition, consumerism, and conflict.  That which has been hidden is being brought to Light.
